Materials That Do Not really Require Sealing ### **Materials That Do Not Need Sealing**  #### **1. Quartz (Engineered Stone)**  - **Countertops**  - Quartz is a new non-porous engineered materials and does certainly not require sealing. That is stain-resistant in addition to low-maintenance, so that it is perfect for both the kitchen and bathrooms.  #### **2. Porcelain and even Ceramic Tile**  -- **Floors, Backsplashes, Shower Surrounds**  - These tiles are non-porous and do not require sealing. Even so, the grout in between the tiles often does.  #### **3. Stainless Steel, Composite resin Granite, and Solid Iron (Sinks)**  instructions **Kitchen Sinks, Bathroom Sinks**  - These materials are non porous and don’t require sealing. They will be commonly used in pre-fabricated shower sections and bathtubs for easy maintenance.  ### Brief summary of Sealing Requirements:  - **Needs Sealing**: Natural stone (granite, marble, travertine, limestone, slate), concrete, binding material, butcher block, plus natural wood floor surfaces.  Kitchen renovation contractor   - **Does Not require Sealing**: Quartz, porcelain/ceramic tiles, stainless steel, solid surface supplies, and acrylic/fiberglass.  Closing is essential for maintaining the longevity and even look of porous materials, particularly in moisture-prone spaces like kitchens and bathrooms. Always be sure to employ the right sealant and follow manufacturer recommendations for frequency to keep these types of materials in best shape.
